Default BBS forged alloys

Guys what's the best way to refurb these? I've bought a set thinking about changing colour to black although read up forged wheels can weaken with the powder coating process... Any thoughts?

Also what's the best size tyre for these on a jdm hawk? 235/45/17 or 225/45/17?

235/45/17 will be fine on the hawk Martin, i take it they are 17x8's, I had a set done 2 years ago which have been fine, it's the cheap alloys you need to watch out for and make sure they don't bake them too hot, I might have 2 sets of black ones up for sale soon but mine are 5 x 100 PCD 17 x 7.5

Cheers mate, I'll get the 235 then.. Yep 17x8j mate, I was unsure as people say powder coating weakens them. I will drop mags a line see what he can do.. Sure they'll sell in no time, I may have been interested although Id need 5x114

I'd had kept them but the car is going and my new one will be a 114.3 so useless to me now , still worth £5/600 a set though, what did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking?

Paid £800 for mine mate... Did a little research and it seems to get the 8j wide in 114.3 is a little harder then 5x100... Think you could easily get £7/800 for yours mate refurbed in top condition with tyres...
