Default wrx tyres

hi all

I know this is probably goin to open a can of worms and probably been done before

what is a good set of tyres for a wrx hatch on 17's

at the moment I have the Goodyear efficient grip performance.

I'm considering staying they are nice and quiet they haven't warn to bad,
I only need a front really as it seems my tracking is out and has warn the inside of my drivers front tyre

and I don't want to mix and match I want all the same

the car is a daily driver does 20 miles a day and the odd long distance every now and then and it has around 300bhp

any suggestions

or shall I just upgrade to 18's

The tyres you have are highly rated for rain, life and noise which means its not going to be a sporting tyre. Grip usually means high wear rate.

If you are happy with them, stick to them (Uniroyal Rainsport 3 are a similar tyre).

Most tyres talked about on here will be based on grip and not life.... so tread carefully (excuse the pun)

One thing is usually an offset of the other.
Maybe a punt at the Rainsport 3 might be a good compromise?
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta are always well spoken of, but they will not last as long as an Eco tyre...
