Default What brakes?

I just recently got my first subaru it's a 2000 impreza turbo. The previous owner had done some modifications to the vehicle but still standard brakes and it's really hard to slow the car down at speed just wondering what kind of brakes I could upgrade to

Thanks for the reply but the car,tax and insurance have left me skint at the moment so can't get them just now but when I get more money together those brakes sound like the kind I'm going to go for.

assuming that your brakes are actually in good order but requiring discs and pads (and you are on a budget) speak with Ian at Godspeed about their kevlar pad/disc package. Factor in a full fluid change as well.
