Rubbing clanking noise from newly fitted front brake pads
I put new front brake pads on my subaru impreza wrx 2002 today. They are fitted to AP racing 6 pot calipers.i fitted ferrodo pads which were exactly identical to the pads I removed only brand new. They fitted great but I noticed there was play in the rotas as if they werent secure. There were no holes in the rotas for screws to tighten them on. I dont know if this is normal for track rotas. I Drove down the road and noticed a rattling rubbing sound from the passenger front brakes. Any advice on what this could be? Should the rotas be secure?

The rotors are sandwiched between the the wheel and the hub so should be well and truely secure. The little screws only hold them in place while the wheels off (not needed and most older cars have snapped screws stuck in the holes anyway).
It could be the shield plate rubbing on the disc? its easy to bend them slightly if your not careful.
I'd get them looked over by a someone who knows what they're looking at.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to check the shims to make sure they are put back correctly. I also need to find a site that deals with the brake pad slider pins as I would like to get a decent set as a replacement.
