Default 4 pot upgrade help

hi all,

I upgraded my 1993 impreza wrx from 2 pots to 4 pots a while back. I fitted new discs and pads and noticed brake pad over lap (about 0.5mm). I put it down to the pads at the time. the pads crumbled at the edges which I did not like but they worked ok.

ive just fitted new discs and pads again, this time a different brand from a different supplier and the overlap is even worse (about 1mm)

is this normal when upgrading?

the discs are are defo 295. I measured them.

Hi
No it's not normal , our don't do it , do you have the spring clips holding the pads in place , if these are missing then the pads can move outwards slightly causing this issue
Cheers Ian

ive put them side by side in illustrator and drawn lines to show the pad position difference. It does look like they will fix my problem.
