Question second hand or new

Hi all

im after some tires to fit onto the standard alloys. budget is a big thing, as I have a set of oz 18 to go on later in the year.

so would you go for a set of cheap new tires
or
a second hand set of 6mm continetal tires?

both sets are around the same price of £130 for 4

thanks
ian

personally I would go with the second hand set of 6mm continental tires rather than cheap new ones if your on a budget. Your better to have a set of part worn good tyres than a set of new cheap tyres.

Obvioulsy neither are ideal, but if it were me I'd go for the part worns over the ling longs.

Lesser of two evils.

Id rather have a new budget Nankang on then a old set of Conti`s.

I had the second hard tires fitted today.

the one with the least tread on it was 5mm, and the most a smidge over 6mm

all for £120 fitted

there were continental sport contact 5.

two of my old ones were splitting on the edge and between the tread, the other two were fine, so have still got hold of them incase I might need them in the future
