Vinesh, OK, it's not Leicester but it may be worth the journey - Motorsport Wheels in Leeds fitted me a set of Toyo T1-s Proxes in 215/40R17 for around 305 quid all in, including VAT, balancing, fitting, new valves, ... (65+VAT each).

They have a depot and tyre fitting place in Birmingham according to their website? http://www.mswuk.com - may be worth a look or a phonecall?

Failing that, Tyres Northampton are a couple of miles off Junction 16 on the M1 which ain't a bad journey - they're about 99 quid a wheel (including VAT).

Finally, Scoobyworld could mail out some Toyos to you at 67+VAT each, but you'd need someone to balance and fit, and dispose of your old tyres. (20 quid a corner seems to be the going rate)

No connection with either group...

...and I *really* like these tyres Bit noisy, but good grip and very progressive when they let go. Better than Pzeros by a long way IMHO, but a bit noisier.

Chairk,

I rang Wheelmania and they qouted me £340 going to have it done there.

Motorsport wheels qouted me £305, but they are not open on weekends. Which means I will have to travel back to b'ham on Wednesday. Works out the same if u consider the petrol and finding the place.

cheers.

Cool. Glad u got it sorted.

Why not be cheeky and ask Wheelmania to price match? Or at least move their prices a bit

So u got toyos did u Vinesh? I went up Nottingham way, via Leicester, 2 get proxes which worked out at about £400 all in with a wrench that'd fit da nuts & wheels, balancing, alignment funky friendly non air stuff etc. So if u managed 2 get em cheaper in brum i'm guna have to cry
Anyway good luck then m8

Just out of interest Vinesh, did you try Jeff Fowkes Wheels in Ibstock? I got a set of 17" Prodrive golds with P-Zero rubber for £450 plus my old 16's.

Didn't like the gold too much, so got them re-conned to silver.

scooby_si,

I paid £340 at Wheelmania. I got these from Leicester. Got some Toyo Proxes T1-S

Motorsport Wheel qouted me £305 all in. But they are not open in the weekend.

Chod,

I tried Jeff, but a bit pricey, £96 per corner. Which part of leicester u from?

When i rang all the Toyo dealers around Leicester, there prices were £20/30 higher than Wheelmania.

The Toyo dealers would not price match.

U should have done some ringing around.

Vinesh

I live about 4 miles from Jeff Fowkes. How about you?

Terry

PS Please go to a Cov meet, if only to shut Si up! I tagged along at the back to the Big One with the Cov types, very friendly bunch.
