Question

Need to get my front pads changed tomorrow on a MY00.
I'm ok with the brand I just need help with the ins and outs of changing them. Basically I need an idiots guide on how to change the front pads on a Scoob! Including torque settings etc.
I am experienced in working on my cars but I was just after a few pointers before I jack the thing up and find I need a tool that I don't have!
All help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ray (AKA Spikey)

I did mine and they were a piece of cake! There was a full "how to" guide in True Grip (SIDC mag) a while back.

Basically:
Jack car up
Take wheel off
Take pin retaining clip off (at the back of the caliper)
Pull the top pin out
Take the rattle spring (bent piece of flat metal) off
Take the bottom pin out
Squash the pistons back in to the caliper(cheking the brake fluid doesn't get too high)
Pull pads out

Thats it
