Default What's it worth?

I maybe looking in the next 6 months to move the Subaru on.

Nothing against the car, it's been my pride and joy for the best part of 18 months and I've loved every minute of it! However, as my flying becomes more serious and I start hunting around for a share in a plane, I have to ask myself what would I rather do / keep... and the answer is flying!

So - here's the spec, what would I get for it roughly to an enthusiast?

2006 Hawk WRX, 30,000 miles
12 months tax and MOT
SL Version (Sunroof and Leather).
TrafficMaster Tracker
Harness Bar
Tein Superstreet Coilovers with EDFC Controller
TurboSmart E-Street Boost Controller (running 0.5 bar and 1.5bar)
VF34 turbo - installed new 6000 miles ago
STI top mount intercooler - installed as above
Walbro 255l/hr fuel pump
Miltek 3" turbo back complete exhaust system (including down pipe)
Turini Speedline 18x8 new 190 miles ago
STI rear spoiler
STI front splitter
STI 6 speed gearbox, converted clutch
STI brembo front and rear
STI front/rear hubs
STI diffs all round, props/shafts etc
Upgraded GodSpeed disks front and back with bluestuff pads
Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure guages (TurboSmart Premium Stepper)
Car running at a very safe 360bhp/390 ft lbs and 290bhp/290 ft lbs on low boost setting.

I think everything that can be done, has been done and not a penny missed. I've receipts for everything totalling over £12k!! Plus the value of the car ....

Hit away

Lee

in the current market cars just arnt making what they should be.you might be better selling some of the mods you have put on it if you can and getting some money back that way.then get what you can for the car as a more standered car.also did the insurance register the car as stolen recovered?

You just need to find the one person out there who's looking for a car of this spec., it may take a while...

P.S. Arf is probably right, but you didn't keep the original "bits" did you ?

Would be a shame but if flying is what you want then go for it, suppose you can always get another car plenty for sale.

Also it did sound really nice when you went past last night i would certainly miss that in my life.

What would you replace it with?

I've just ordered a new DS3 (1.6 Eco Diesel!!) - 86mpg, free road tax etc etc so no direct replacement by any means. However, the running costs being less means more free money for other things (including a wedding!) so it's an option to move the car on.

Like you said Dunx, waiting for someone with that spec car could take some time - I guess it could be sold cheaper than an STI but more than a WRX?

I didn't keep all the bits as they were sold to help fund the new shiney bits Otherwise Arf's suggestion would be fine. I dunno.........!

Someone will get a very nice car, Lee took me out in it on Monday, its a very quick car, pulls like a train. If someone wants it , you'll get a good car.

I thought he already found a buyer?

But yes i too have been for a passenger ride in it although prior to getting the STI box and diffs, pulled very well and the handling was set up well with the tein's fitted.
