dont think i will be going to this one as i'm getting the car ready for the scooby shootout next.

 

might try and make this one,see if the evo boys have learn't to drive any better yet

Arf, what you think yours will do down the strip mate? late 10's? I finally got the gt35r on and bedded in, doing a nice 600/600.......will see how long clutch and gearbox last now

 

600/600 i could only wish for that in mine are you still on the standard 5 speed box ?

Yes mate, I try to be fairly sympathetic with it, did a sprint at teeside and went ok *touches wood* twin plate held up too with launches although nothing full blown.

 

600/600 very nice.yeah hoping to break into the 10's with mine,just depends on how hard i am on the start line,have only just replaced the clutch plates and dont really want to be doing em again anytime soon.

well thats pretty good going fella it looks like thats one thing i don't need to worry abart,was thinking abart a 6speed from an 8 but have heard some people on mlr saying they're 'weak'

Yes bud, 6 speeder is a good box but weak with over 500bhp running through it, 5 speed is good box, Rich Marples run over 590bhp ATW through his original Tommi Mak box and its still going well after lots of trackdays and sprints, his front lsd has finally gone before the box.

If I did it again it would be 400/400 cap with 1st class coily's and a mega spooling turbo, this 1st gear crap on spritns gets you fed up eventually

590 atw is awesome through a standard box !!!

i was aiming for 400/400 on mine with a few bits mainly exhaust bits and some mr cams with a remap of the standard 6 ecu as there seems to be some good software out for them now so it should be fine for my needs

400/400 and next to no lag should make for a nice fast road car

Tim it will be perfect mate, can compete with most big power cars with 400/400 IMO, fair enough on big circuits it might tell, but lets face it, nice and twisty is more fun!

Fantastic day,
drove there, did the day and drove home.
in the morning could not get the last part of the track right, got some more cone, close to getting enough for a short track now,
got to grips with the track in the afternoon, times came down, big thanks to FroSTi for helping out for the day,
but some fast fast cars there, Dax rush, some fast evos, a lot of cars braking gearboxes and diffs,

Hot hot hot as well,
some bikes doing top speed runs.
one did 187mph on the back wheel
one bike did 1 mile run at 227mph

It was Paul Martin in his 700bhp 6 that snapped a drive shaft and blew the rear diff, he only lives 10 mins away so within an hour he was back in business.

Is it me or are the courses getting shorter? lol few doing 30+ sec laps in practise

 

Jimmy, Pauls evo is ace, fast car, I saw him changing his diff and going back out, nice guy too.
30+ its cars getting faster.

it was a short track.

It was a great day,

I was expecting mine been laggy, but on the tight part of the track, 2nd gear cat 5000 rpm, so when I put my boot down it was there, no lag. the cars that I normaly close to, I was still with them, but some other different driver / cars,

I stopped at 3.30 and just watched for an hour.

Some of the evos of the line were awsome,

i knew i should of gone but it was either fix the car on a nice day or fix it in the rain(should've just got a bit wet and had a good day out)
glad you had fun bez and didn't break anything,always a good result if you can drive home at the end of the day.glad to see the evo's pulling their weight just a bit gutted i missed it.

Yes mate he runs evo solutions, top bloke, very good work and reputation, also does bits and bobs for scoobs if needs be, spent a fair whack up his place in my time lol

any of you lads going to the one on the 12th? then scoob shootout + handling? shuld be good, looking forward to it.

Hiya Tim, yeah its at Elvington on the 12th as far as I know mate, welcome to have a nosey mate, I have Paul's rose jointed links on the front and rear on mine, great product

Pity passenger laps arn't allowed for those wanting to pop over and watch really
