Default any one good at maths

well i got my clutch back on tues,so back in went the engine last night.they told me to bed in the new plates so i went to the shell garage as the tank was empty and put £30 of vpower in at £1.22.9,as i have never recorded what my car does to the gallon i set the trip meter, then i went for a steady drive on low boost.after 85miles the tank was empty, now to me that doesnt seem a lot of miles for steady driving.so if theres anyone with a few more brain cells than me wants to work that out for me,then please be my guest.

16 mpg

£30 = 24.4 litres = 5.4 Gallons

85 / 5.4 = 15.8 mpg

HTH

P.S. Almost as bad as mine ! What time at Ferrybridge on Sunday ?

best way to work out your MPG is with a full tank of gas, then take note of how many miles you have done and how much its took to refill the tank.
