Well, where to begin.
I was on my way to Keighley this afternoon to have a look at the STI wagon I was interested in. I think most of you saw the pics I had on me at the mmm at the ship. I was driving through Bradford when I was approaching a crossroads and the car in front was stationary and indicating to turn right. I didn't have enough room to get past so I stopped. The car behind me ploughed straight into the back of me
Here's a few pics of the old girl.

It's nowhere near as bad as Coop's car when it got spanked, but it's bad enough!! The boot won't shut, the back doors won't shut, so I can't lock it!! My insurance say it isn't roadworthy because of that and it's getting hauled off on monday for inspection. So I'm wondering if it'll get written off, cos it's 12 years old and I think the chassis it bent, the spare wheel compartment is mis shapen too.
So I've wasted no time in removing the exhaust and putting the standard one back on. I've also removed my scoops and headlights and rev limiter and all my stereo gear.
Oh well, could have been worse I suppose, I'm just glad my wife and daughter weren't in the car!!

bloody hell not another rear ender, why carnt people watch were there going.main thing is that your ok and as you say it could have been worse if the family had been in.looks like its going to be a right off thow.
Ouch I know that feeling I had someone do almost the same to me after the last Ace cafe meet even down to the square hole in the bumper the insurance company wanted to write my car off and the damage on mine was no where near as bad. I feel for you fella Stick to ur guns and if u have the time think about buying it back and breaking it.

Cheers guys
I'm gutted for me too lol.
I'm off to the doctors tomorrow for an mot.
I've got some serious neck pain and touch of back ache, but it's only to be expected when you get done up the chuffer at roughly 30 mph
. I just hope the insurance company write the car off. If it gets fixed, it'll only be worth two bob and a blackies egg with accident damage in it's history
Oh well, onwards and upwards as they say. I'll just have to wait and see what I Get for it, and put it towards an STI wagon

Bump.
Just a little progress report.
The insurance company has written my wagon off. They took the p*ss with the first offer, so I'm in the process of doing a little haggling with them. Hopefully I'll get paid out shortly. I've also got a personal injury claim on the go which should get wrapped up soon, as the third party's insurance has admitted full responsabillity. My neck creeks and cracks and I've still got back ache
But at least the headaches have stopped.
I've sourced a nice Jap import version III STI wagon in the midlands, hopefully it'll still be for sale when I get paid out.
I'll be in stealth mode at the mmm at the ship, either in the courtesy car or the van
So I'll see you there innit.
HOLLA.

Don't hold your breath on getting paid out for the personal injury quickly, mine is still on going and it's over 4 months ago... They seriously take the pi$$ as the third party in mine admitted fault and the police report backed up that it was there fault but it didn't seem to speed things up.
Good to hear your on the mend and make sure you get some physio for your neck and back.
Raps tight yo, innit......

Finally agreed a settlement with the insurance company. They initially refused to increase the settlement offer because they claimed my wagon had been a previous total loss write off
, which is b*ll*ck$. So I did a hpi check which came back clear and forwarded it to them and asked them to prove otherwise. So they came back to me and apologised unreservedly, claiming they had made a mistake, and finally offered me what the car is worth
So I'm just waiting for a cheque in the post.
Meanwhile I've made a deposit on the Jap import version III STI wagon that I sourced from near Birmingham, and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow
