Award Winning Fish and Chips!
Hi guys
For a few of you who know me, you will be aware that I own a fish and chip shop in Farsley, near Pudsey.
After around a year of hard work we have at last managed to win the Seafish Friers Quality award, which basically makes us one of the best Fish and Chip shops in the country along with a few others who have also been crowned top shops. Not only did we win the Award but we did so with the highest standard of 5 stars, so I am very pleased.
If any of you guys are in the area please feel free to pop in our postcode is LS28 5HA.
There is a link below to the newspaper article that has just gone in todays Evening Post.

Hi Dave,
Well I've always been here lurking in background...
Company is now firmly back in the black and the disaster of a house extension is almost finished (+ my new garage!). Apart from that I'm in agony off a root canal which is coming out on Monday if it's not stopped. So in short, everything will be peachy - soon...
On the car front I'm still in the £500 Legacy, which overheats after 20 mins driving so just gets me to/from work. My new car arrives in September (not a Scoob tho) so I'll be back at the meets.
Hope things are well with you and the family.

Ooh, victim of the credit crunch Glad you're still afloat
Builders
Last time I saw you you were about to go in for your eyes blasting into shape, now it's your teeth
And the F430
Have you still got the Beast And watcha getting
Joel's entering the terrible twos Hitting Helen, hitting the cat, occasionally trying to hit me (he'll soon learn that's not a good idea ) and generally becoming a right little terror, which I find very amusing Apart from that, things are pretty good.
All the best.

Funny - you could always try a cattle prod but is that just me being cruel? You should at least get some video to embarass him with at his 18th birthday party!
I hit 40 and then things started going wrong/falling off My eyes are perfect now tho
F430 was the first thing to go since it was mostly finance and I needed the equity pronto to keep the company afloat. I've been in the death trap Legacy for nearly 2 years now. The beast is still with Rick but I've pretty much written off.
The new car, well - it's 4 wheel drive and that's all I'll say until I get it

Shame the 430 had to go, but common sense rules when things get tricky I suppose. I'm sure you'll have something else when it all settles down.
I guess the Beast never got properly sorted then Such a shame as the work that went into it was awesome.
Oh, and I'm forty in September Better get joined up to Bupa pronto

I refuse to use Pipers, I think they are the worst, though most customers/business' seem to list them as their favourites!
I tend to use Wiljas most of the year and Victorias when they aren't available. Both fry dark, have a crisp outer and are very very soggy inside!
Only problem with them both is the work, I've got to get up 30 mins earlier to get all the skin off that the rumbler can't get at. Sometimes they are too small too which isn't good for scallops.
Another problem is sometimes our potato supplier won't stock Wiljas as we are the only ones asking for them.

An alternative for you if your strugling with potatos is to use a ready chip, theres a few shops using them. Saves prep time, and water/electric costs, plus your paying for what you use, unlike a sack of spuds where a lot of weight is lost in the rumbling and chipping process.
The reason you may be getting a dark fry is due to a high sugar content of the potato.
We look for a golden fry, that is crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle, Pipers seem to be the best for our shop, and also have a great taste. But they are a natural product and change from batch to batch.
Roll on end of june when the new pots are harvested, you can have an extra hour in bed on a morning then

You on the other hand are very much like Sherlock Holmes....
Anyway mate, you and I are in the wrong jobs... 3 Fish Shop owners in the local vicinity owning 3 of the most expensive cars to run on the planet.... You do the maths... I'm far too good looking to work that one out...

I reckon it'd be okay to say where, Wakey's far enough from Raf for it not to affect him at all, and some of us more local to you might just pop in one night and say hi
