Meeting Venue & Club Details
Membership fees are not mandatory and anyone is welcome to come along and simply enjoy the club, it's people and any event organised..
If you do decide you wish to support the club by paying membership, then the yearly fee is now £25 per car and gives paid up members the following advanced notice and priority on:
In the event of any over-subscription the following will apply:
At the major events to be attended and where the club takes food and drink along to extra events, all food, drink and extras are free to members and their family's. This itself will save £'s on show prices for burgers etc...
Facilities...
The club also has a superb Markee that will be taken to events and will have tables, chairs heaters and all the stuff to make these long events more comfortable and enjoyable. Two decent sized Gas BBQ's, as well as loads of other stuff...
The above require maintenance & upkeep and club funds will be used to pay for this.
Extra's...
SNET - Scoobynet remains our long term home and plans are continuing to give us a bigger and better place in which to advertise and grow the club.
Polls - As it is difficult for all members to get to every EOM / EGM, we will post up any major club changes or membership affecting decisions in the form of an open Poll (i.e we can see who's voted) for about 1 week. This means all members can vote. Minor ones will be made at the meeting.
Squires - Squires remains the main meeting point and they have kindly offered to help out and support us where they can. The Ship remains closed after the floods and we'll look to hold alternate meetings there when it has been refurbished.
If the club or a member has anything important that needs to be given to the group, then we will meet in the bottom bar for a few minutes to openly discuss and debate the issue. Internal club problems will be dealt with openly and fairly in this setting.
Membership - As we now have proper financial control, we will now manage memberships from the day you pay (available from memberships being paid from now). You will be contacted just before your membership is due to expire.
eMails - As work continues to improve the forum area, any minutes, event details or other particular information that we want to remain private will be sent by email. If you'd like to receive such email updates, please send Simon (white scooby) your preferred address.
WYIOC.com & .co.uk - As we're committed to SNET, both domains will be turned into simple advertisement pages to support printed advertisement literature (flyers, magazine contact addresses etc) and will direct everyone straight to the forum area here.
Funds Management - All funds are now properly looked after and full books are kept of all club and charity transactions. These will be freely available for viewing at all EOM or EGM meets.
[COLOR=Red][COLOR=Black]After all the above have been funded, extra money left over will be put towards upkeep of the club kit. This may include stand decorations or other areas that will generally make us better than the SMACS lads (
).
Effort - We've had very generous donations and goodwill gestures by solid members to date, for which we send our heartfelt thanks.... Other members continue to put in a lot of time, money and effort to make the club what it is today. We'd like to continue getting better. So, if you wish to donate your time, skill or resources, don't hesitate to get stuck in. Your efforts are appreciated in making all events run smoothly by helping out wherever possible.

If you do decide you wish to support the club by paying membership, then the yearly fee is now £25 per car and gives paid up members the following advanced notice and priority on:

- This is a valuable position for secure parking at events
- Track days
- This includes first come first served placements
- limited seats in shared track cars..
- Trips & Tours
- Camping
- Car shares for long distance trips
- Rolling Road places
- etc etc
In the event of any over-subscription the following will apply:
- Paid up members (inc active partners / family members) take priority.
- If the number of paid-up members is greater than the number of available spaces, names will be drawn from a hat.
- The organiser(s) will get a bye in the draw.
- In some exceptional cases (very limited driver only spaces) their may be restrictions on the active partner / family members. The organiser should make this very clear from the outset.
- Non-paid up but active members come next. Again, names will be drawn if it's over-subscribed.
- Anyone else.
At the major events to be attended and where the club takes food and drink along to extra events, all food, drink and extras are free to members and their family's. This itself will save £'s on show prices for burgers etc...
