Default front bumper for my 98 sti

ive got a dodgy girly/gay front bumper on my car..

was on when i bought it so dont blame me. i wanna change it to an original one but need to know which one i should get ? anyone got pics of the 1 i need ?
theres a 98 type r bumper on the bay for 125 or a unpainted new ver 5 for 200.

whatcha think ???

need the face lift one... if your happy with the blue one i have one in silver needing paint you can have!! no chin bits on it mind...

Hi mate, the blue one is the pre face lift one, as bpb says you need the facelift one, just looking for a pic !

although they both will fit the newer version (better looking I think) has 1 air inlet the top space taken by a smaller quart indicator, where the older one has a full insert wrap round indiciator and does look dated IMO of course.

Version 3 and 4 I think had the early version bumper with the facelift bonnet and lights, version 5 and 6 had the bumper Mick has posted up...if I remember rightly of course Hope this helps.

thats the bumper i want. so i should buy the new ver5 on the bay for 200? is that a decent price ?

Hi lee, Scoobyclinic normally have quite a few bumpers in (used) I would of thought you would get a good deal from them, 'pm' james username:- jb24 on here he should be able to give you availability and a price.

i was going to go the route of covers, but dropped on some cibie's instead!! its actually nice driving in the dark now!!!

Hi Lee,

Covers in stock, brackets should be ready for begining of week if needed. As for our P1 lips, they are supperb quality mate, made from flexible ABS plastic which fit perfectly.

Had one of there P1 splitters fitted,absolutley spot on,went for one with towing eye as well....

Defo recommend one , made the world of difference to mine....

Cars gone mate......

Had to free up some funds , to fund a van for work.....

Had a good three years with it though.....


Front splitters and fog light covers are spot on, and i believe Precious metals , do paint work as well now....
