Cool!

...but I'll still have you in the twisties

Best colour combo too.

Methinks it's time for Sticky to go 2 wheeled.

Holy **** man........

Now that.... will..... be ...... a ........ bit........ quicker........ than........ your..... L plated......... learner.

You do know what you've let yourself in for don't you????? No really.... you do know how much of a weapon that is? Bit like one of Dave's learners stepping from his Skoda after passing their test and getting straight into in a Koenigsegg to drive home in... a tuned CCXR one at that.... with all the comfy bits stripped out...

I can't wait to see your face....

now mate!

were going to have some fun (SAFE, SENSIBLE) fun. Were not into heroics, but to be fair you don't need to be to enjoy the freedom and performance of a bike.

Can't wait to dorn my gear and pilot our machines for a run out.

fantastic bit of kit mate, nice to see you started off with something sensible, then you would not be you if you got something steady away.

like I said I think?

Good times

Sticky - I'll check availability of test dates for you when I go for my training

You don't know how close I've come over the years.....

I can honestly say that my biking years were simply the most exhilarating and fun... no car can come close to the adrenalin, terror and 'wooo hooo' type moments.....

Well..... The atom probably did it for me.... but we were sideways with Dazza on cold tyres heading for a kerb with me waving at a taxi driver who was looking back through saucer sized eyes.... a special moment...

A special moment indeed... it was

must be something in the water going on because I've got my hand 3/4 of the way into my pocket for this little beauty, I think it should be fine in standard form and shouldn't need any power modifications to propel me rather quickly when the need arises...

looks stunning and the nice chap says it quite nippy too...

Oh and Si, pretty much anything would have been quicker than the S2k,
we all said you wouln't have it long...

Except they usually have a 1.0 Corsa or worse (if indeed there is anything worse ) for them when they pass, and are often very sad to be no longer driving my little oil-burning sleeper

How long can I hold out against these bikes

Si if it was anyone else I'd never believe someone would buy a brand new R6 BEFORE he'd past his test, in fact BEFORE his done his CBT....but it is thee so I barely raise an raise an eyebrow

An absolutely beautiful bike I can remember my jaw dropping when I saw one all polished up in Jordans - and definately the best R6 colour scheme.

If you want any tips give me a call cos if i can pass ANYONE can!!! The only slightly tricky thing is the U turn everything else is easy enough - just keep looking at your mirrors and looking over your shoulder fella.

Dazza - naughty bike

Well, in no particular order, I'm gonna get me a bike and someone will suggest a WYBOC

Nice bike is the R6 YAM,that's what i had a few years back when first came out. The only thing i can say though be careful Si as the R6 is a very very quick bike,i had some great fun on mine i raced all the other bikers on mine and let me tell u mate it bet a lot of them. The R6 is a top bike,,not for the faint hearted ,,,if used to it's full potential like i did,, and i'm talking from experience. As a new rider take it steady mate at first and get to know the bike....Don't do what a lot of the tossers do and go out there and screw the ti*ts of it .....COS IT WIL BITE..top buy mate. ...

Fantastic Bike Si. But as Paul says respect it. I had an R1 when they first came out. had some great fun on it and did some great track days on it. Nothing like getting your knee down . Think Bri saw mine back in 1997 When i picked it up brand new. I know how you feel mate. and if you didn't know i've got an GSX1400 last addition now. Lots of grunt and very comfy for those long rides out and a good 200 mile range. Enjoy mate and would look forward to going out for a coffee or an ice cream anywhere anytime.. Would maybe advice an advance riding test or some track time mate.. WHEN IT STOPS BLOODY RAINING

Good luck mate..

Dave..

Not Preaching Mick just giving good advice its a lot of fun being shown how to ride your bike. Once you have past your test and track time behind an instiuctor at donnington is the best place. I did it to boost my confidince as i was so used to riding off road. and i think you can vouch for my ability on off road riding oh the fun we had Anyhow... you just enjoy it Si its great fun to have a bike with so much freedom..

And like you say mate good times let them roll..

Dave..

Hi
I didnt know there was as many bikers on here until now. I passed my test in April and bought an old zzr600 which was a bit grandaddy, ive since swapped that and bought a T plate zx6r which is a lot better and faster.
if the time comes and it stops raining i will make a run out with you guys if its ok .
One thing for the test as Scg said is the u turn, you only get the one chance or you will blow it, other than that it was the easiest test i have ever taken. I took my training with FMT at Castleford and they taught a very high standard which was more than enough for the test.
Good luck mate.
