The reason I sold the S2000 . . .
Quick update . . .
First day training today. Did the CBT and got my certificate
Instructor did'nt believe I'd not ridden before, and was impressed
Couple of things I'm still struggling with, but will hopefully get those ironed out before Friday.
Minor mishap on Hunslet Road Leeds today. Stalled at a set of lights and could'nt get it in neutral for the life of me. Sat there for a good 90secs fooking around with traffic flying past or beeping at me, but once I'd sorted it, was away and running again no probs
Really really enjoyed the experience, and to anyone thinking about doing this (STICKY!!
) get on with it

It was only when my instructor rode to the side of me and said "youve knocked the safety cut off switch" i felt are right lemon never thought to check it i just panicked.....can laugh now but i didnt then.

Stu - with LSM in Leeds, its cost me £670 for the 5 day direct access course.
£670 includes the lot (bike hire, loan of protective gear if you don't have it, insurance, CBT and test fee's)
Only other thing you need to pay for is your theory test, which I think was £30.50

IT will be easier on a 500. just try and but the crack of your **** on the edge of the seat the oppesite to which you are turning to counter balance and also try to push your foot down on the foot peg you may find it helps
I failed on my U-turn first time round but nailed it morning of the test 2nd time round, make sure you get a good starting position, and try and do the sharpest part of the U turn in the first half as you don't want to be panicking on the second half. Also as Dave says if you can shift your **** over a bit as a counter weight that'll help. The mirror checks and shoulder checks are essential, remember to move your helmet for the mirror checks as the examiner won't be able to see your eyes
That's about it....oh yeh and don't speed
Best of luck mate and try to enjoy it it'll make for a better ride.

Just the right back bracking bike you want... Nice but...... Not when an R1 Stuffs it up the inside. Ducati would soon get out the way..
.You wil never see one of them getting wet..
Nice bike Al...
That's all true mate..... A R1 would see it of as it is a bit of a brute in thre twisties apparently... But for presence there's nothing like some Italian flair and styling...
