One of my mates has both the Audi A3 and Honda Civic, he is adamant the Civic was the much better car. Better styling, better mpg and better dealer service. The double boot thing on the Civic is good too. I can put you in contact with him no problem.
If you are doing a fair few miles in it, I'd say the A3
My A3 was perfect on the motorway, one of the best cars i've had, but on normal roads and day to day stuff, it was the most boring thing I've ever driven!!! If you go for the A3, see if you can get the 2.0 tdi, as opposed to the 1.9
Not driven a new Leon, but my older one was certainly on par with the A3, slightly better round town and on the twisty's
If its just for pottering backwards and forwards to work, I'd try the Civic. They definitely look better than the other two, not sure how they stack up like for like on spec etc tho

A3
But to be honest the Golf is fantastic motor, had one as a company car for a while and it was fantastic at everything
warehouse manager has an A3 so can ask him any questions ? Civic's a little bit too shopping trolley, you know what I mean
A3 and Golf's are good in crashes too, not that, thats important to you

oh god i just dont know...
they have said i can have one of each delivered for a 2 day test drive so might be best to do that....
i have a thing for audis so once that was added onto the list today i knew it would be a hard decision
one thing that annoys me about the audi is the fact that its so bloody loud, a neighbour as one and it sounds like a transit.... loud purring like the scoob is good, transit is bad... inside is standard.....
had a spin in a 57 civic today and they are very space like inside and didnt seem as loud.....and gadgets galore....
just something keeps pushing me towards the audi ....

The Honda's are very good indeed, with a much more refined diesel engine than the VAG item. The Leon will be the most entertaining and rewarding to drive as they are set up as VAG's budget sports brand. If you have the choice of an FR TDi then jump at it, especially the PD170 as it will give Scott a run for his money in the Scoob whilst still retaining 50+mpg. Map'd with a full decat and DPF removed these engines are now topping 250bhp and 400 torques, but as it's a company vehicle you might not want to plough your own cash into it (I would as long as I was certain it was mine for 2 years min). If the FR is not an option, as commented before, try to push for the 2.0 TDi PD140 in either the Leon or A3. I personally have always found A3's boring and remind me of a posh Astra. The Leon is a great looking car and I may be getting one as my next teaching car (170 map'd of course
).
All good motors though and a difficult choice down to your personal preference and needs really.

Me and Andy had an A3 and mapped the torque is AWSOME!!
If i could choose a car for myself even now it would be another A3, been telling andy for ages but he went for the warrior.
A3 ALL THE WAY...........

Easy solution.....take them all out for test drives and drive into another car, then which ever one stands the longest get that, to be fare you have to consider how many crashes you have had this year,,,,no offence babe...
