Default Im going mad help please

Hi
I have tried posting on the main forum and no replies yet . Anyway I need some advice please. My wife had bought me a dump valve for christmas ,anyway she said i could fit it now and then if any problems it could be sorted out. Well i have 2 problems, the first is ( i hope she doesnt read this) it was an HKS copy and not an original, anyway fitted it and it doesnt work, it doesnt make a sound at all and the valve stays shut. So it has got to go back anyway, which is a good thing coz i can buy a proper one .....Has anyone on here got one for sale?? . Ok the next bit is a blue pipe next to the one that goes on the dump valve. It has been split with a T piece but then the bottom of the T has been blanked with a small bolt...... why?.
If any one can look at my engine pic and answer the couple of questions i would really appreciate it. Cant believe its a christmas pressy and it wont work.
Spent all day messing around for nothing.

The blue pipe is for a boost gauge, the previous owner of the car must have taken it out before he sold it. You just need a boost gauge and feed into the car, I did.

Loads of places you can buy a HKS dump valve from:

Scoobyclinic
RE Motorsport
Precious metal to name a few.

You don't need a specific gauge, they're all pretty much universal so depends which one you like the look of.

Theres two measurements of boost - BAR or lb/ft - most people prefer BAR, don't know why, they just do.

Prices range between £20 and £90 depending on which one you want and where you get it from.

Regarding Precious Metal take a look here
