Default My Boiler

Hey Up WYIOCers

Does anyone know anything about combi boilers ?

We have a VOKERA Option boiler and over the last couple of days both the red and green light have been on constant however when you turn the tap to send water through it goes off and heats up for a short time then the lights come back on.....

I am hoping its not on its way out as its only a couple of years old and cost me a small fortune

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them or knows anyone that does?

thanks

Sarah

Well what can i say, i was meant to be a boy....

I did have Scotts tools out at 5am this morning and contemplated on taking the boiler to bits but then it is slightly complex so best to leave it to the professionals....

check that your pressure is ok,,, gauge on the inside, should be in the green... if it aint then fill the system... will be a tap on the cold water inlet...
Not an expert but I've fixed about 7 boilers so far, and save me and some mates a lot of money... one guy came round and quoted me £500 to fix mine last time... after a bit a sussing out i worked out what it was, part was £120, and it took me about 1h to change the heat exchanger... so the robbing "£$"$£% was taking the pi$$$...

ohhhhh crikey, think we might need you to nip round Andy, got up this morning it was lit up like blackpool, no hot water, no hot radiators, put some more water through the pipes and it did start working again but then it stopped again within a hour of me doing it....

I turned the water tap to put water through it for about 15 mins this morning, do you think it needs doing for a lot longer than that?

I will speak to scott when i get in, it needs sorting, cannot doing a full winter having to use the kettle to bath Scott.

Can you pm me your number?

cheers

Sarah

That doesn`t sound good, think I definately need to have a look at it,is the pressure constantly dropping on the pressure gauge?..........to be honest it could be loads of different things.PM sent.

Dazza's-STi Andy, I nominate you as the WYIOC gas man...
I accept
