1st choice, Rick (sub1600) but he is very busy and hard to get hold of (and he blanked me the other day in Bowetts carpark )

2nd, HDC Subaru in Hebdon Bridge. Howards a top guy who knows his stuff and doesn't rip you off.

3rd choice, although I've not had anything done there we'll give them the benefit, Precious Metal.

4th, Scoobyclinic. Quite a way to go and beware of the mysteriously rising prices which often top dealer rates, even with the labour at £25/hr

I had this issue albeit a smaller service (service book needing stamping for warranty) & ended up at Prosport in Stockport. Even after factoring in the cost of getting there it was significantly cheaper & the general service level was significantly better than I've experienced at the dearer local dealers i've used b4 - KTG & RNG (car washed/hoovered/small non service job done foc without mention). They have a menu for pricing so you know exactly what you will pay.
I have to say that the local stealers were hopeless. "Will ring you back" - Didn't. "STi, is that the one with the turbo" - WTF!
Honourable mention though to HDC as Howard knows his stuff & Bowetts - once Sub1600 got on the case - knocked a chunk off the price but were still too high on price 4 me.
HTH, Steve
