I'm sure a man of your talents Mick would get a better sponsor than "Croft Service Station" if you were let loose in it!
Without wanting to sound like my mum, is it road legal?

I'm considering options for when the Atom goes, and a MKII was one of them... I'm having a 17" *22" garage built so a fair bit of fettling to keep me away from the missuse will be great... I used to have a MKII in white and exactly the same spec as the top one... great fun... just couln't afford it then... would love another to do some clubmans stuff in...

Building rally cars is very expensive... and you never ever get your money back....
To take a classic scooby and turn it into a safe, reliable and competative car you would be talking around 15k ish... add that to the cost of the car and you are already above 20k for the build. I could pick up a 2 door prodrive built GpN Impreza for around the 14k mark....
When I am talking about safety, you don't want to end up wiht your car looking like this....
This is what happens when you put a basic 6 point roll cage into a car and then land upside down on a rock.....
