Lightbulb WYIOC to Scoobynet Live - Convoys, Lists etc...

After tonights titting about with mobile phones meet, It has been agreed that the departure time be brought forward for all Convoy and Club Stand members.

Main convoy DEPARTING trading Post at 8am then meeting other Clubs at Ferrybridge services. Stand organisers and runners will by-pass the services and head straight to Elvishtown.

Making own way

So guys, bright and early at the TP for an 8am depart, so recommend you get there before that if you wanna chat 'n stuff. If you are running late at all the main convoy will be adhering to all speed limits so it will be easy to catch us up.

As stated before, the route will be...

M62 E to J.33 Ferrybridge (meet with Mids Scoobs)
A1 N to A64 NE
A1079 straight off onto 1st right B1228

Although I have no authority to do so, can I make this decision final, please



For those who need directions to the TP...

Trading Post, Commerce Park, Pioneer Way, Whitwood, Castleford.

Come off the M62 at J.31 and follow the A655 towards Whitwood and Castleford. Go straight over the first roundabout and immediately take the right hand lane to turn right at the lights into Pioneer Way. Take the first left and left again into the car park.

The plan is for me to take the van, so anything that anyone's bringing can be thrown in the back of there to take through to Elvishtown.

You could "Quote" the post and then just delete the quote syntax

Hey guys,

I'm a newbie and am looking to join the WYIOC.
What better place to meet you all than at the Scoobynet Live event???

Is it best if I meet you at the Trading Post at 9am?
Do I need to get any sort of membership or buy a scoobynet live ticket before I picth up?

We are meeting at the trading post this Thursday, as its that time of year for us to pay our subs for club membership, that may be a good time to meet the crew and get your membership.

Entrance tickets for SN live are available at the entrance to the raceway, We do have a WYIOC stand actually inside the event, however, this is for WYIOC members only, and the 20 allocated spaces are almost taken, so membership will secure you one of the best parking spots there

look forward to meeting you at either event though Phil, always good to meet new members

not joined the WYIOC yet hoping to join at scooby shootout but was wondering if its ok to join your convoy from the trading post

on the info just recieved for running in the shootout it says that you have to be there and signed on before the driver briefing at 9.45 . its the first time i have entered if i join the convoy will we get there before this time

I was not aware of that mate

Knobby -- Martin worth noting if you did not know that! ?

It takes about 30-40 mins to get there, but that means definately getting away for 9 and definately no hold ups.

If it where me I would not take the chance if the penalty is not being able to run, by the time you get parked up find the signing in place the deadline will be well over

Jim. TBH, that may be pushing it. (edited to agree with Mick that we rarely get away on time and rarely get any holdups as Convoys can tend to speed up and slow down)

I'm checking with Shaun (event organiser) what time we can be there to setup. From Shaun's email to me we may not be able to do this until 9 at the earliest as that's when the doors open...

If this is the case you can tag along with the earlier crew, or make your way up yourself to ensure you get there about 9:30.

Keep an eye out here and ou'll get the latest details...

From Shauns email he states to get there for the doors open at 9. Pointeless us getting there really early and that means setting off at 8:15 rather than 'Mr Earlies' suggested time of 7!!!!!!!

Even if we can get there at anytime, I'd say thet arrival at 8:30-8:45 is preferable as the Gayzeebo only takes a few minutes to knock up... with a good 15 mins to arrange the cars etc..

Talk more about detail Thursday or state now if shaun says we can't do anything prior to 9...

Shaun I thought you were all powerfull

Seriously guys the que's in to the TOTB (Shootout) last year where massive, White scooby Chris666 will confirm this (Simon Chris) you remember. we were queing several miles up the country road, a good 45 mins of stop start traffic
