April Monthly Meet - This Thursday 28th @7:30 - FoxGlove
A dereliction of duties. This is serious.
In the first World War, this would have got me shot and is an offence under military law.
It includes various elements around the avoidance of any duty which may be properly expected, for which not posting the forth coming monthly meet falls under.
In the UK, Dereliction of duty is contained within the regulations governing the failure to obey an order or regulation. It means that one willfully, through negligence or culpable inefficiency, failed to perform one's expected duties.
Ineptitude is a defence against the charge. So as an easy starter for 10, I'd like to plead inept.
Currently, the maximum penalty is a charge or possible courts martial if in a conflict zone. This could lead to forfeiture of pay and six months in the nick.
Acts which are derelict may be charged under more specific offences such as;
OK??
Nearly forgot.....
If you'd like to come along and throw rotten tomatoes or sponges filled with rotten egg whilst I'm locked in the 'Ye Olde WYIOC Stocks', then come along to the Fox Glove, Kirkburton this Thursday.
Punishment session starts at 7:30.
Normal convoys from the Brickworks and Holmfield arms...
The Holmfield lot will leave at 7:10.
The Brickworks lot will leave at 7pm
Also, Dave, Helen, Sticky, Moi, Martin & Raf will have tales from the free open F1 session at Silverstone on the same day....
See you there!!

- Missing movement - This could be brought as my movement in the Polo is painfully slow and bores me stupid
- Noncompliance with procedural rules - Constitution para 6 says the Chairman will post something amusing, highly informative and crap once a month to promote the monthly meet. Failure to do so means bringing out the industrial sized vaseline.
- Misbehaviour -
- Malingering - I love this word, so I'm going malinger a bit longer a savour the feeling.
- Self injury with intent to avoid service - This ones easy. I stubbed my toe getting out of the shower this morning and it hurt. There was pain and everything.
- Straggling - Look, though fabulously good looking, I'm 43 and simply can't move as quick as you younguns... give me a break.
OK??

I will endeavour to be at The Brickworks at 7pm, but the F1 trip could make it difficult. If any other Leeds WYIOC's (scg ?) want to volunteer to take my lead should I not make it please step forward now.

Hi mate Now the nights are getting lighter there's usually anything from 15 to 40 cars, depending whether the SMACS boys join us or not. The run to the Foxglove is a chance to stretch the legs of the car followed by a chat in the car park about latest mods or whatever, before retreating inside for beer and food, and more chat about cars, events or whatever you fancy. Wives, kids etc are more than welcome too. 3 events in succession over the next week or so, with the main Foxglove meet, Squires Rice Meet next tuesday and a run over to The Unicorn for the SMACS meet next thursday. Add to that some of us popping down to Silverstone for the F1 testing before thursdays meet, Scoobynet Live, NBO and our very own trackdays twice a year and you can see we like to get involved. Introduce yourself and join in and you will enjoy yourself I'm sure

For anyone who hasn't been to Brickworks before I'm pretty sure Dave has got a map of it up on the sticky section of the board - opposite is a small private road / layby where we normally converge before heading off. PM me / post if you need further info.

Off M1 at J.39 and towards Denby Dale on A636. After roundabout, right into Woodhouse Lane towards Emley at the bottom of the hill. At the foot of Emley Moor Transmitter, turn right into Cross Lane and drop into Kirkburton, then turn right down the main street. At the end turn left and straight away right into the FG carpark.

I should be at Brickworks for the run down if you fancy it. I'll post if I'm not going to make it, so if you hear nothing assume I'll be there!
