WYIOC to the SMACS, Thursday 6 April
After their impressive turnout to come and attend our gathering yesterday (Thursday) it's high time we paid a return visit to see the SMACS crew over in their part of the world.
Having mentioned this to a couple of people last night it's time to get some feedback and do some arranging, as their monthly meet is on Thusday 6th!
So, can we have a show of hands for all those wanting to have a nice hour-or-so long run over to the south end of Stockport(ish).
Start times and meet points TBA, but proably the usual Thursday places and times, give or take to allow those who may be working odd hours to be able to join in (Hi Mick )
1) Sticky
2) Corradoboy (either driving or passengering, depending on the sale of his car)
3) Al (probably passengering)
and the rest of you?.....

I think a properly organised mid-monther in May is on the cards to get as many of the club as possible. Light nights and hopefully fair weather is starting to tease the hibernators out of their comas, and the sudden influx of newbs is seeing the club revitalise. I'm still up for next week, but a proper do should be sorted too.
Whilst we're on the subject, we need a thread starting for the Hull run, and a proper NBO thread, with contact being made to as many other clubs as possible to generate interest in a mega-convoy. Calling Mr. Chairman

Blimey, at this rate it's gonna be one car with 8 people inside!!!
James, no prob mate. That means I'm full if Dave manages to sell his car before Thursday.
Chat amongst yourselves as to which DVD you want to watch en-route, though I can highly recommend Lee Evans XL for a laugh

My car hasn't sold and will remain unsold now until after the trackday and possibly a trip to Devon Will be worth less when we come back as it will be over 50k, and due a service but **** it. I like the idea of watching a movie en-route, but like the idea of a quick drive more

Sorry boys and girls can't make this one I'm afraid, I have a prior engagement, which lucky for me the missus reminded me about yesterday otherwise I'd have put me name down for this and would've been in BIG trouble

Of those attending tomorrow, can I offload some of the trackday stuff I need to take along into someone elses boot please. My car is usually just about full with my wheels, and I have 2 extra tyres, a gas cylinder and a woman to take too.

Thanks Simon. The other Simon (whitescooby) may be popping 'round tomorrow to collect the gas cylinder, so if he can squeeze the tyres in then I think I'll be OK. I'll let you know after I load up on friday and give you a call if needs be

Right, a couple of things...
I'm going to have to blob on tonight's little sortie into the land that time forgot. Really don't want to, but 20-odd days of non-stop work with 4am starts and 7pm finishes are taking their toll, and last night's 9:30 finish with Martin's car have finally done for me. If I do go there's a VERY real possibility of me falling asleep at the wheel, and at best my concentration would be nowhere near the levels required to follow Dave anywhere.
Sorry.
Secondly, it's highly likely that I'll be taking the van on Saturday, so anyone with anything that won't go in their car (including women ) should get in touch NOW then I can arrange to collect on Friday evening / Saturday morning. It's not the biggest van in the world, but it'll take a few wheels / BBQs / sexy bints.

Just got back in and I'm on call for tonight... and I need to jumps back on to the work computer... Been in a nmeeting all day with no access to the net or my phone so I couldn't give any advanced warning... sorry guys..
This isn't a shock because I told Chris & The Chief this may be the case...
Dave, Dave Carter will be ringing so he's definately on..
If this does fall through then a longer term plan to get across will be made for the next few months... we will definately be paying the compliment back..

Just spoke to Dave and texted Ali. It's definately a no go for tonight I think it needs to be made the official May midmonth run out, along with the Scoobynet Live event.
