Default how to stop the headlight washers working??

title says it all. i still want the windscreen washers to work but not the headlight washers, is the anyway of doin this (other than taking off the bumper and disconnecting the motor). long story short, a certain garage has not fitted the drivers one properly, which has promptly come off the car on the aston expressway on my way home tonight, so i only have 1 headlight washer in the bumper until i can get a replacement. car is a hawkeye. (so tempted at driving down the aston expressway tonight and seeing if i can recover it )

Possibility you can take a fuse out maybe? Chances are they're both on the same fuse though.

a few ways to do this one jon (some do it to improve the pressure of the window wash without the light ones) simplest way to do it is remove the pipe from the washer bottle going to the front bumper and fit a short bit of pipe bunged at one end in replacement, they run a single pump in the washer bottle so best to leave wiring side alone

Bumper off job mate to replace the washer unit, as its bolted on under the headlamp cluster to a metal bracket.

the bumper is easy enough to take off, row of clips underneath, 1 clip top of bumper inside edge of the wheel arch each side just press the little pin in a couple of mm and it will pry out, you will need to take the row of clips off ontop of the grille, next step remove the two top grilles to reveal a clip on each side. also remove the washer jet covers to then gently pull on each side nr the wheel and it will pull off.

I was going to start a thread asking this exact point
I've ran out of washer fluid in two days and that is partly down to those bloody headlight washers! I'm not sure they are really necessary and expected there to be an option to switch them off!

i will be disconnecting them both when i get a replacement. dont fancy paying £100 if they pop off again. i assume if you dont touch the wiring they will still pop up but not disperse the water???

disconnect the wire to the headlamp pump, as its water pressure that lifts them up
