Default Bad drivers caught on camera (WMI cameras)

Several WMI members have on-board cameras.

Just thought I might start a thread where bad drivers get caught on our cameras. Interesting to watch, sometimes funny, sometimes a mickey-take but mostly dangerous.

I'll start one with a young guy this morning who just ignored a junction and headed straight for me. Forunately, I dont have a microphone built into the camera otherwise I might have to bleep out my verbal comments as the idiot nearly went head on into me.

I don't get that junction, the obstruction is on your side, yet the giveway markings are on his side?

THe obstruction is on both sides, one admittedly sticks out more, but the junction on his side is a give way, which he didnt and everyone else does. The look on his face as he went past said it all.

This happened on the way to work this morning. A Van versus Renault Clio.

Head-on, 45-50mph from each direction. I think the person survived.

The guy died later that day btw, heard it on the radio on the way home last night. Felt sick to the stomach. He was only 21 too.

If you look at the footage, there are a line of cars oncoming at the time of the accident. The only reason I can think of, why he could be on the wrong side of the road was that he was overtaking. I think he was overtaking and someone didnt let him pull back in. He was driving a small astra van. The video shows the larger van almost "jumping", which would have been the large van going on top of the astra van.

Will update this thread when the police have investigated what happened and it gets posted in the newspaper.
