pointless
Just been overtaken on a nice quite rd in Bedford by a blue scooby (think blob). Sorry but if its a driver on here that was the most pointless thing I've witnessed since Robbie Keanes move to Liverpool a couple of years ago.

You know that what you have posted is aimed at any driver in the world and not just this one person in particular.
We all overtake on a quiet stretch of road and some **** will do it on bends or at busy times
But your point is actually quite pointless, unless there was something else to it rather than just an overtake

If the overtake was safe and within the speed limit then it wasn't pointless.
If it was dangerous, then its a different story, and you may want to elaborate ?

I've seen examples of pointless driving, i once saw someone indicate to turn left, and then drive straight on, craaazy pointless.

Ok for those who need clarification, I was driving on a 30mph road. I drove past a parked scooby who was awaiting a lady passenger getting in. As I drove down the quite rd within the speed limits, this sensible driver got himself a lovely run up & overtook at quite a considerable speed. Very pointless considering I wasn't looking 4 a race, it was dangerous as anyone or thing could have stepped out, it was very wet & was dark. As goes for owned my ****, fair enough if it was a race & we both started side by side at the same speed.
p.s. the road was a residential road and not a country road or similar. Sorry I should have been a little clearer :-)

[QUOTE=GordonC;10223898]In terms of pointlessness, I would say Robbie Keane's moves to Inter, Leeds, Celtic, West Ham & LA Galaxy are up there too.

I can see your point OP'er, but not sure I would have posted about it. Lets face it, there's plenty of ****** out there wanting to prove they're real big men, no matter what they drive. Used to live in Flitwick, so I know there's plenty about

However, I now have to weigh up the fact that if I were to buy an STI, running a reported 40/1 risk of being a chav in doing so, I estimate it would have taken me 0.25s longer to get past performing the same maneuver in my current car than it would an STI.
That's time you'd never get back.
I'm starting to think the risk really might be worth it.

thing is tho, im sick of people in other cars (including scoobs) coming ragging up behind you ad haring past, thinking you are going to race them. Granted it happened more in my classic, but still happens now. I can understand where the op is coming from tbh (my old age coming out there i suppose)

Given that 90% of all other drivers are morons...
A few in a Scoob aren't statistically significant.
dunx
P.S. I can't remember the last time I was goaded into reacting.
