Scoobs in Aberdeen - what's up with you all?
#1
This week we've seen several very tidy Scoobs in and around Aberdeen. With the possible exception of one, nobody smiles, waves or even remotely takes you on.
If you see a DBM 5dr in the morning with gold speedlines, S*** MSS, the female driver will give you a lovely smile I'm sure. She's pregnant, not deranged, so how about being sociable???
Unfortunately we haven't seen Miles, Ken, John, Stuart, Wuz, Numptie with his new motor, or any of the other regulars. Big friendly wave to all you anyway.
Mike.

Ricco, where abouts in Aberdeen do you hide?
I frequently travel to kingswells via garthdee and cults from Portlethen. I have not seen you about yet. I dont think I would miss a scoob like yours easily.
As mentioned before DBM saloon MY00. 18" Diablos clear indicators and ss bb.
IF I see you I will wave.

I live not too far from the beach... work at Rubislaw off Anderson Drive. Youd mostly see me around the Kittybrewster area or down at Nigg.
If i see you, i'll wave back!

I always wave at other scoobs in Aberdeen, but very few wave back. Pretty soon you start to feel like an anorak and stop waving. I'll have a word with myself and start waving again. I live in Newmachar and work in Dyce, Silver MY 01 WRX Y** PSR. Anyone seen me?
Ricco thats not Catalunya no 33 you have is it? I had that until last November, swapped it for the silver bug eye and a bag of sweeties. I've seen it since round Bridge of Don.

I always wave if I see the other driver has noticed me, which isn't so often now with the new car!
Most don't wave back, but quite a few do.
Must admit I haven't seen Mike's or Ricco's cars on the roads for a while.
I can feel another Aberdeen lunch coming up. How about next Tuesday (30th) at Cove Bay Hotel ? 12:15pm.
Post replies up here and I'll book a table big enough for us all.

No clubby, mine is Cat no. 18. Looking at the service history, it originated in Inverness. I'd be up for a lunch out to meet a few people, don't know that many folk round Aberdeen.
I thought you'd bought a new car John, what did you get?

This aberdeen lunch sounds like a good idea, but I am am in the same boat as Wuz (not literaly ). Could we arrange another lunch/pie and pint meet in Aberdeen after the 19th May?
Clubby I think I have seen you. Were you not coming down garthdee towards Sainsburys a couple of weeks back. I think you were on your mobile. I flashed my lights. DBM Saloon MY00 W*** GRS. I had just come off the roundabout and was heading towards cults.
Wuz when are you due home?

Hello all from Aberdeen, I'm an aberdonian now living in the sticks(Mintlaw area)I'm onto my 3rd scooby now and I would like to meet up with any of you and bull**** about scoobs etc, but I must admit when you pass another scoob it would be nice manners to wave considering the pedigree!

Infinity - it would be me you saw, i come down that road every Tuesday night. As for me being on my mobile, you must be mistaken..
Your car looked good, I remember thinking as you passed that I should have bought a late classic shape instead of the bug eye.

OK Clubby, I will keep my eyes peeled in the future.
You wont see me around at the moment as I am offshore.
I was thinking of puting a post up in the 'Scotland' forum for a blat out to banchory and a meal at scott skinners for the aberdeen scoobs as a get together. As judging by the response on this thread there is quite a few of us. Whaddaya think? It would be after the 19th of May. Or I could grovel to John S to arrange another lunch time meet when Wuz and myself are at home (anybody else work offshore?)
Cheers
