my findings on the wave theory
There seem to be a couple of rules to the wave (Based on result found from my 53 blob)
If you see a same model car eg blob to blob ,
80 % high change of wave
If you see an identical Scooby eg both with sti spoiler upgrades,
99.9% guaranteed wave (theory has been tested and confirmed)
If you see an older classic Scooby,
you wave 50% change of wave back
If you see a new Scooby,
you wave 30% change of wave back
You also need to factor in driver age and sex to the above percentages.
If the other driver is wearing burberry
-40% chance of wave back (prob too busy talking, texting , looking out for rozzers while driving)
If the other driver is below 60
standard Figures above apply
If the other driver is above 60
0% chance of wave back whatever they drive

Looks like there's a lot of scooby snobbery out there.
That's a bit Sh**e if you ask me.
Got a 53 blob, would love a classic but needed something newer, lower mileage etc for the everyday commute.
Still would actually but already got 2 cars and it wouldn't fit on the drive.
So if you classic owners wanna give me a wave I promise I'll wave back

around here (chesterfield / sheffield) there is ALOT of imprezas, and tbf, most imprezas ive seen do wave back, i even get the odd flash! i think it depends on the area and what the scene is like as well, there is obviously a few impreza tuners around here so that helps...
there is one guy around here in a hawkeye sti pp, its absolutely gorgeous.... but he never ever waves! ah well each to their own - i dont wave to hatchbacks.... they're not real scoobs ;-)

Here in South Wales other Subaru driver's do tend to wave I've found. Even the newage car's wave at my96 classic unprompted . I think it's a good thing, from other car's I've had there's never quite been the same commaraderie (although when I had a VW Golf VR6 got a few nod's from other VW owners). It's like alot of owner's will know exactly what you've been through to get that car like it is or just simply keep it running (especially us classic owners) .
I'm all for it...this mostly depressing, angry, un-just & violent world that we live in could do with a good injection of good 'ol' friendleyness, politeness & courtesy.
