Steve,

You the nice shiny one next to the pub Have some friends who
live round the corner and are often up that way. Going to be
freezing you knackers off new year down the quayside watching
the fireworks?

Might have been the guy in my previous thread http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=60004

Hope he doesn't sell it!!

Shame I'm at my 'Country Home' (I am the last of the gentry) over festives or might have arranged a beer after that bloated in front of the telly stuff!

If you are a pub person as opposed to club, and you've done Whitley Bay (who hasn't?) try Tynemouth Front St on a Sunday night for mad rammed to the doors youngsters, or if you like a bit of music try Magnesia Bank, N. Shields. If you just like good beer and a traditional pub try Tynemouth Lodge at top of Fish Quay road (Tynemouth Rd - between North shields and Tynemouth). For lunchtime grub and a quiet pint the Earl Of Zetland down by the Ferry terminal will guarantee you a seat and a chinwag with the locals. If your in a coastal locational all these are in an under-a-fiver taxi radius. Don't spend much time up here these days but it is a good social when you get the chance.
