Oulton Park ?

I was there later in the day with Adge in his 22B, the last session was cancelled due to someone getting it all wrong at Lakeside.
We were not on the track but went down for a look.

Yep, I was spectating. Watching the Jap Innovations boys kick *** in their Series McRae.
Quite a few scoobs in the car park and on track. Mine was the white one with multiple scoops.
I saw Adge's 22b parked up at the end.

Anybody on here going to Oulton on the 19th - noticed a couple of Scoobs on the list - Should be a good day - Open pit lane, so looooads of track time!
Steve
P.S. - don't look worried if some nutter in a small green Westfield waves at you

Hi all .... P1 - parked next to that GENUINE Lancia Stratos.
Was on track in the black Mk1 Golf; a bit tricky in the damp morning sessions but superb when it dried out....our first visit and what a track !
Cheers

Thanks - the Golf belongs to a friend and is for sale at a fraction of it`s build cost. It runs a modified 1900cc VW 8v unit with a modest ~ 130bhp; has a cage plus coilover suspension and is really well sorted. It suited Oulton perfectly.
I drove for 3 of the 5 sessions as I was considering the purchase but I have a similar car at home which I will now continue to modify.
A major factor in it`s performance was the superb dry grip of the Yoko A032R tyres.
Hope to meet you all eventually - cheers

That EVO had alternator problems; the guy driving it was the one next to me with the Statos. Came flying past me on the straights but was so slow through the quick corners; I had to slow the Golf down.........honest ! Perhaps alternators don`t like corners ?
There`s some pics of us in the Members Gallery under Oulton Park Dec. 8th.
Golf is now up for sale in Private.
