RB5 Gordon Boys Roundabout near Lightwater
last night. You were heading towards Guildford and I noticed your off-side rear quarter had a nasty looking battle scar. What happened? Was it you RB5 286?

Not me, but have you noticed the new cameras that have appeared just as you get onto the relief road from the M3 towards Gordons Boys R/A? One at the start of the stretch and one at the end, 3 black cameras 30 ft up...look like Specs...
Have emailed Balckspot as my road angel says nothing, incase they are brand new....

The cameras that you have seen on the A322 Lighwater Bypass is a trial of SPECs (Speed Check Services) equipment.
This is a private company who are testing the registration number recognition technology. It is not, and will not be used for enforcement at this location, and is not connected in anyway to the Surrey Safety Camera Partnership.
There are no current plans for introducing SPECs time over distance equipment in Surrey.
If you would like to know more about the SPECs system, there is a website you can visit at www.speedcheck.co.uk.
Surrey currently has no plans to install any safety cameras along this stretch although the site will be included in next year's analysis and review of camera sites.
