As far as i know from the same rules that apply to bikers and small number plates they can seize any number plate be it a personal one or a normal age related one........ then you have to apply for a Q plate which will drasticly reduce the value of your car

thay just gave me the producer for the plate think. the cops theory was that the sunstrip could be dangerouse and the number plate is just norty.
i argued that a classic is a big car with a big window and that there was still more clear window left below the strip than most cars have to start with
still cost me £30
i was warned that my plate can be taken off me.over about 10 years or so i must have had about 20+ fines for it

...i got pulled twice for too small front plate....300x85mm
So i got a much smaller then average square front plate from fancyplates.com....300x180mm with smaller then legal text to fit the size. It looks great on my classic and i never get stopped because it looks legal.

Why not put a plate on that is the smallest you are legally allowed. It'll save you time and money. You are probably less likely to get pulled over for the sunstrip if your plate isn't illegal.

ive got normal sized plates , the only thing wrong is the space after the 1 is missing. i have been pretty luckybecause nothing is made to look like something else on the reg, i have got off with it sort of, and being female helps
here's the rear
my argument is that if i ran someone over they would remember the plate, so, helping track me down

I saw him in Letchworth (Broadway, outside the girls school), after pulling someone over there as well!!

This is from a thread on a police website about window tinitng and sun strips
" Also - did you know that if your vehicle has a sun strip at the top then that is also covered in the 75% for the windscreen if the wipers touch it??? "
So if your windscreen wipers do not touch the sun strip it doesnt count as part of the windscreen for tinting purposes.
