Don't know if your on here but i hope you and your girlfriend are ok!?!
The BMW driver was seriously milking it when i drove past later. Police/ambulance the lot

He Sure did. I was waiting to turn right at a set of traffic lights and as he came past the other way he waved, i waved back, and a couple of cars in front of him were turning right into a drive behind me so had stopped in the road, he had'nt noticed (assume cos he was waving to me) locked up and ploughed into the back of a silver BM!
I pulled over and went to see if he was ok. No damage to the bimmer but his bonnet was creased/ headlamps smashed. Everyone was ok. Think he was just very understandably embarassed!
Let that be a lesson to you wavers out there

As i drove passed you in the shell petrol station it happened about two minutes later at alltami traffic lights. The ones in the dip!
Felt really guilty actually cos if he hadn't have been wavin he would off seen the car in front
