Stealth Scooby in Warwickshire
I must be the first/only owner of a stealth type Scooby, know one ever spots me around the Midlands.
New age drivers just tend to look the other way, is it snob value, or do they think its a young hooligan driving an old but very mint classic.

You're not alone. I work in Warwick / Leamington Spa, and when I'm in the Scoob, only about 1 in 20 drivers of other Scoobies ever seem to respond.

I've had and have been driving mine for over 3 years now (yes, DGM classic), and I've been spotted a couple of times... though once was from a mate on here
Funniest wave I received was from a bloke caning a blue Terzo off the island near the Damon Hill Beemer garage outside Leam Spa - I flashed my lights, and with a grin from ear-to-ear on his face, this huge Mr Tickle-like arm extended from the side-window, and he went flying past in the opposite direction

Its my last week next week but if anyone fancies meeting up give us a shout as im normally just stuck in my room bored most of the week.
Been into Leamington a few times now and normally park up near the shell garage. Car is a UK Classic Stickered Up.

Out again in the Stealth Scoob yesterday, covered over 120 miles around the Warwickshire/Dudley area.
Saw many Scoobs, no sign of agnowledgment from any of the other drivers, saw one classic in Cov, however the majority were new style.
Is it elite-ism ?
Classic's rock....

But on a positive, I did get a wave off a new age scoob driver on Saturday. I drive a racing green MY98 UK WRX.
I find its the 'older' drivers that dont wave (no offence guys )

The one I sold was a mint 93 black classic, with standard spoiler. The other you would hear coming from a mile off a MY98 racing green, tinted windows and sounds like a bloody animal heh.

The classic I saw near Hollbrooks Shell garage was white, with spoilers & blue graphics, did wave but no response.
I think what it may be, perhaps these guys with new shape Scoobs can't handle the fact the the 12 yrd old classic would potentially waste em...
When out on Saturday I came across a couple of Streetfighters bikes, so I followed them until we got out into the countryside, they went for it so did I. Absolutley stuck up their **** & the guy on the second bike could not believe his eyes, checking his mirror and shocked that I was still there.
To be honest I didn't realise how quick my Scoob was until then, and was shocked to have kept up with them, my motor is only geared for around 125/130 so the get go is astonishing & still has to have the boost turned up....wow :-)

another stealthy here aswell. Especially when i`ve got 2, 6 metre kayks on the roof. And i find that it`s around equal new age and classic that don`t wave. Just depends who`s behind the wheel.

If you see a White Spec C "ScoobyNet" emblazioned car in this area, you may find that the word "potentially" will be just that.... a word!

Shaun.

I am on the Northants/Warks border and to be honest think it is far more down to the driver of the other car than the age of Scoob you are driving, I have found very little difference in waving and flashing from when I was driving my MY98 Wagon to now in WR1.
Personally I always try and wave and flash so long as I see them in time.....
Regards
Robin
