Default WR1 (?) on the A602 near Ware

Was followed by what I think was a WR1 about 4:45 today. Let you blast by on the two lane up the hill then caught :-) you in my RB5. Sounded awesome as you went by...

Was the WR colour but the only badges on the boot were WRX and Sti - no WR1. Are they all like that?

Yup, twas me in my WR1. WR1's don't have WR1 labelled anywhere else except the front wings. I did wonder if you would follow me up the crawler lane, so gave you a second or two in case you wanted to go first Traffic then got all bunched up(as it does ) later on so no point in overtaking any more. Glad you liked the sound, as I've yet to hear it from outside on full chat.

Nice RB5. Did it have the PPP fitted as it seemed pretty nippy.

A good little blast while it lasted. Yours certainly sounds nice - intake whoosh and exhaust baging away on the gera change. As you say, you never get to hear your own car like that.
Mine is well loosened now - owned from new and on about 115,000 mile (!) just has H&S downpipe and back box plus Eibachs. Interesting you say it seemed nippy as some times I don't feel it is anything special, usually against those damned turbodiesel rep rockets!

I remember my old MY00 would seem to struggle a little against Golf TDI's and esp BMW's. It takes a lot of HP and Torque difference to go whoooshing past other cars(like there was on that little blue car you were behind) so don't be surprised if it seems a little slow to you. 115K miles is a good age and tbh it did'nt look it from the outside. Needed a wash though

WRXPete - not the old 'near where' gag again :-)

Neil - yep, it's a battle to find time to keep it as clean as I would like - especially as I get out on the mountain bike as often as I can plus keep the trouble and strife happy as well! Are you a local to the Beds/Herts area?
