The caravan delivery was running late so they hooked it up to the WR1 to try and make up lost time?

Aren't they supposed to not tow things?

IIRC, there was a kick up about the P1 being unable/not suited for towing?

Or am I way off the mark here?

Just another example of limited edition scoobs being abused. I think all prospective limited edition scoob owners should be vetted before taking ownership

Yep sticker on the door frame and big letters in the P1 hand book, no towing with this vehicle.

He was obviously going caravaning People do that you know, so they can go where they like on holiday with all their creature comforts Perhaps Subaru should make a matching caravan or motorhome Im getting to the age where camping is becoming more and more attractive especially with all the soul weekenders I go to where the accommodation is far from acceptable

When flicking through the WR1 manual I don't recall seeing anything about towing a caravan. If I remember I'll have a look see. Although I wouldn't of even dreamed (at this moment in time) of contemplating even a notion of towing a one So if there is something in there I prob just skimmed though till my ears pricked up when I saw DCCD..
Would this also mean no towing cars?

Calm down, calm down, aye, aye......

Did you not see the camera car ?

Its a photo shoot for TopGear, remember the one they did with the ' Norris Evo ' towing the caravan, which blew up live on telly in front of millions.

Well this time they want a more reliable motor, so they used the WR1.

Wink

Come on lads its only a car and it goes forwards, funnily enough so does any other car so whats the prob? or is it just a case of it dont look right.i think all said and done its probably a great car to tow with from the power point of veiw and if you like caravanin then why can't you have a scooby as well? abuse of the scooby is not excuse when you see what happens to the scoobs on track days etc.............Powerman

Errr, they wouldn't have to say anything, surely the tow bar would give it away.

But do Subaru not always come top in the best towing car awards in the camping and caravaning mags? Not that I read them!!!! Admittedly this is normally with the forrester or the Legacy, but as these both seam to share comman parts with the impreza, should the impreza not be equally up to the challange?

I'm guessing a Legacy weighs substantially more than an Impreza. Power alone does not determine suitability for towing a caravan - weight is very important.

I know because my folks have just bought a caravan (and a pitch at Billing)
