ROFL
Number plate is broken (dog story a couple of weeks back) but I've got a new one on the backseat all ready to go on - just haven't done it
Tell him to be more observant

Yes it was me
I too was in a mode "Going home mode" lucky I saw you at all

Saw you pootleing along in the centre lane... Did not realise it was you, you was in disguise (old man mode with glasses
)... last time I saw you Puff was at Bedford when you were throwing Puff the Magic Wagon round the track at wheel screaching speed

and you only came to spectate if I recall
Did notice the broken Front number plate in my mirror though

All the best
Pete (I've been spotted at last

Let me just justify my "pootling along in the Centre Lane" bit please.
I was on the M11 heading North as it comes up to the M25. At that point it goes down to 2 lanes until the northbound feeds from the M25 join back into M11. Approx 1/2 mile from the split n'bound, the dotted white lines thicken to indicate a separating of the way & I had moved from the inside lane at this point so that I didn't end up stuck on the M25 & in fact was able to continue my journey home.
When Peter went past me, it was in the 2 lane section though he likely would've seen me in the 3 lane bit as he was behind a slower car and I had to nip out in front of it to overtake a camper van.
