Default Who is thunderbird 555?

I keep seeing this car around Welwyn Garden city, its a standard green NON turbo with a women driver and the stickers "thunderbird 555" and a union jack on the rear windows? anyone's better half from here with rally aspirations maybe?

That's Deb, it's very much her car and she's very much a rally ran. She's on here too so she'll be well chuffed when she sees this

I normally meet up with her on RallyGB and at the Herts meets.

Too true Sal...

She's a Top Bird and no mistake. One of the most committed Female Petrol Heads I've ever met! See you both at Rally Sunseeker??

Hi Sal (Speedster )
Porsche is going OK. TBH though, I think its days are numbered (don't tell anyone!!). I almost got an Elise S2 instead of the old 911. Maybe I'll change it sometime, but it is a looooooovely car.

Here at last

Yep, as Sal and Gina say, very much a rally fan, very much a petrol head and the car is all mine. Had it for 4 years now, hopefully be swapping it for a turbo later this year

I reserve the sideways stuff for roundabouts and "B" road runs not WGC town centre.

Have to keep a look out for madly waving pedestrians now I guess.

Gina - I'm still planning on going to the Sunseeker, maybe see you there?

you certainly will, i reserve the right to jump in the road too just to make sure you see me

You do realise getting a turbo costs more than the car itself in the end, think the equation goes something like [cost of car] x 2 = total cost of mods and failures are directly related to those mods too.

But I neeeeeed more power

The only reason I didn't buy a turbo in the first place was because prices were so much higher 4 years ago and I could not justify spending more on car repayments than on my mortgage.

Careful if you jump in the road, sport brakes are not the quickest at stopping

True but you'll be driving slowly and safely around welwyn GC wont you

what on earth do you do each lunch time? me and a mate walk from near B&Q's into town for some exercise as much fun as taking my turbo with the firestorm into the multi story is, the exercise is better

If I think I can stand the crowds, I'll walk into town, but more often I drive down to Woodhall or Safeway and buy a sarnie there, or quite often I just wander over to the Esso garage (which is my second home anyway due to the huge amount I spend in there on SUL).

I would've thought the road under the Howard Centre would have been more fun than the multi-storey for exhaust noises!
