Hello if your reading this would just like to know why you found it necessary to drive 6 inch off my back bumper at 50 mph on A610 towards Ripley this afternoon.Hope you also enjoyed the 100mph+ run whilst weaving in and out of traffic on the A38 you must have done to catch up with me.WHY ? have i offended you in a former life or something ?

Having previously lived at the Thorn Tree Public House on the edge of the A610 in Woodlinkin en-route to Ripley I have seen way to many of this type of Idiot than I care to remember. Helped the Police and Ambulance service Scrape a few up of the road aswell...

I sympathise with you mate.... sadly the area is full of the To$$ers.

Listy, How long ago did you live in the Thorn Tree mate? Just wondered if you were there when I had my accident (not my fault at all and before I could drive)..

I'am afraid it comes with the territory 18gtmf! When they do that to me I just slow down untill I have stopped, get out and ask them if the tow rope is still in place! This usually cures the problem! at least with that particular twot!!

My run in with the tailgaiting tit was A610 approaching police hq from A38 but know Woodlinkin bypass well it's about 3 miles from my house a dodgy bit of road thats seen more than it's fair share of fatals my old man spent months in intensive care after losing it on that nasty bend by the golf club this was before they dropped the speed limit.

Ormonde Fields is the Golf Club....

We walked off the 13th green one evening and a Talbot Sunbeam followed us through on it's roof....

The road has always been bad..... I wouldn't care to add up how many i can remember.

Shaggy

I was in the Thorn tree from 85 - 93ish myself.. Mum and Dad had it longer but I moved down here to Kent...

Most of my mates still live around that neck of the woods though..

Weaned on a diet of the Regal in Ripley the lot of us... Christ knows how we all survived to be honest... lol

Blimey Listy, you were in the pub when I was nearly killed.. Car took me off my mountain bike on the left hander just after the thorn tree heading towards Codnor back in 1990..

Good job the police never told my dad the name of the driver or he'd just be coming out of prison

It's like a little trip down memory lane for me here guys I'm getting all emotional.....

Me Mum and Dad live in Heanor and I'm up there fairly regular. Next time you guys are planning a meet or anything interesting round that neck of the woods drop me a line.... I never mind getting the beers in up there cos it's always half the cost of what it is down here....

Shaggy I'm in a town called Cranbrook....

It's about 10 miles outside Maidstone en-route to Hastings. Canterbury is about 45 minutes away depending on how much fuel I want to burn

Cool

I see nothing wrong with driving my grandma round on the roof of my car and resent the fact that you think i be a hillbilly any more of it and me and cletus be showing you the sharp end of me pitchfork .
