Spotted today sitting looking a bit forlorn on the hard shoulder near Junction 12 or 13, I was going the other way in my stealth vectra !

was me with a flat front tyre...what subaru fail to tell you is that the space saver won't fit on the front if you've had the brake upgrade...

that is a good point to make m8! luckily me m8 pointed that out to me when i bought my scoob,not that ive had a puncture in it but i think i would have been a bit confused if he hadnt told me and i did get one

P1 8 YOU - you could always of put the space saver on the rear and put one of the rear tyres on the front thus clearing the brake upgrade.

If you were the first owner of the P1 then Subaru would have told you that snipet of information. They did for me anyway...

Their workround is to put the spacesaver on the rear.

OOps ! sorry to hear that !

Yeah the normal (well only) work around is to swap one of the rears over, time consuming puncture though !

Hope you got sorted ok and werent stuck there for the mayhem that followed later in the afternoon !

The other alternative is to have a spare proper wheel then it won't be a problem lol.

PS: I had the same problem and completely forgot until the "nice man from the AA" couldn't get the wheel on .... then I finally remembered .... ho hum ....

BTW: I've just discovered a couple of pics of your car P1 8 YOU from the Bedford track day in 2001 ....
