What muppet was taking a wide load with no apparent police escort down the A34 in busy traffic yesterday evening?

I caught up with the queue just south of the M40 and spent the next hour and a half(?) to cover 35 miles crawling at 30/40mph, and stop/start up the hills, 'cause this big transporter thing I could occasionally catch glimpses of at the front of the queue was taking up both lanes and not allowing anyone to pass.

Selfish ******s didn't apparently think of pulling in to let the however-many miles of traffic behind pass and clear, and what the hell were they doing travelling at that time of day anyway, rather than overnight?

P.S. When I first hit the jam, the little sports car approaching rapidly from behind somehow managed to miss the thousands of brakelights in front of him and eventually decided to slow down by slamming on the anchors and travelling down the road sideways towards me!
