factory fitted sunroofs???
#1
Just got back from the Algarve, Portugal, having seen a hand full of scoobs sporting what looked like f/f sunroofs? I was never offered this extra on my00 dutch import. Anyone know any details about them?

I was told by a Subaru dealer that all Scoobys come from the factory without a sunroof. The dealers then arrange for a firm to fit them at the customers request for around £1000 before delivery.

I believe AlexF is right, as when I ordered mine from Holland I requested A/C and an electric glass tilt and slide sunroof.
The dealer fits the sunroof once they recieve the car.
Paid £1500 for the extras (£600 sunroof £900 A/C), a lot cheaper than UK

I've got the steel tilt / slide sunroof in my UK MY00 Turbo. Definitely factory fitted. If you want a glass one, they have to be dealer fitted.

When I ordered my 2000 MY turbo from Subaru Vilvoorde in belgium they said that I could have any option available in the UK except a sunroof. Don't know why though, but wouldn't want one anyway.

All I know is that the order to IM for my scoob had the sunroof specified, and it had the sunroof when it left Japan. The dealer offered me a non-sunroof one for earlier delivery, but I decided to wait (a strange thing for the dealer to do if they are all dealer fit in this country). The mystery deepens...
