My car went into a car body shop last week and i got it back with 200+ extra miles on the clock.
The garage are saying i'm mistaken but i'm not.
Did any one see a RB5 between monday 14th and friday 18th July in the Weybridge area. With 200 miles it could have been further afield.
Any info would be good please.
Thanks Adam

There was a full tank and the mileage was taken by me.
I also reset the trip mileage on every fillup.
Plus i reset the peek settings on my defi gauges
Got it back with:
3/4 of a tank of petrol
200 miles extra on the clock
20 miles only on the trip meter
defi gauges had been reset again.
Plus the petrol they would have put in, i don't think would have been optimax, do you?
At the end of the day i know that 200 miles was put on from when i left the car at the garage and I've now lost faith in the company, even though they did a spray job i can not fault at all.
With a bit of help from my fellow scooby netters mabee i can get a bit of info.
Thanks

Sorry to hear what happened Adam. I know it's not much use now, but I always take a photo of my speedo before my car goes anywhere, just in case!
See you tomorrow night mate.

Shame the customer service isn't upto the standard of the work. In future get the service manager or mechanic to sign on headed note paper the agreed mileage when you leave the car with them.
Taking a pic of the odometer is a great idea, put as the photo could have been taken any time (even though some cameras have time/date printing on the pics, this can be altered) you need to have it witnessed...best to take the photo. while he's watching.
Hope you manage to sort it out...might even be woth notifying the Police in case in 7 days time a speeding ticket drops through your door ...not sure they can do anything though

I have a simple rule.
Work out the cost involved in fecking u over times it by 4 for inconvinance and inflicked this by damaging biz or other things.
People in this country realy stretch the limits of the law and break it on a day to day basis.
thay know that we cant be a bothered with courts or court fees and that our lives are to busy.
The law doesnt give A unless they get there fee and even then theres a chance of it going to wich ever way the old man thinks at that time.
Dont take it on the chin get even. if not through the courts the other way.

Pity we can't name and shame on here.
Others would want to know in case they end up there - bad news when you can't trust people.
Mines in at the end of this month so I'll have some spies out!
