But for the meanwhile now he's moved to the Borders without internet access.

As I was down that way a few days ago, I popped in for a cuppa.

Thumbs up

Oi, I have got web access, I've just got better things to do with my time than to surf Scoobynet when I'm not being paid to do it.

My silver 3.0L X-Type Sport can be seen leading snowploughs around the borders in Scotland now. I had some 4-wheel spin today up at Glentress forest near Peebles. My reg ends in HLY for anyone who spots me.

My brother lives in Daventry and has a 3.0 Sport. It's red in colour and he's also had probs over xmas with trying to start the thing. Is it a common problem? (Hasn't cut out at speed yet though,Just won't start sometimes when it's been left idle for a while!! - It's a 51 plate)

Cheers

Cool

No starting or cut-out problems with mine. In fact, amazingly, having had mine for 6 months and 8,000 miles, I've had no problems at all yet!

If you're interested, you might want to check out the X-Type Forums which I set up after getting my car. Not seen any mention of cut-outs or starting problems on there, either.

Thanks for the info Mark!!
I've told him to take it back to the dealer anyway as it's still under warranty!

Cheers

Sorry Black Cat - it's not the most busy forum in the world. Mind you, at least it's not filled with muppets like Scoobynet, eh?

Here is the truth.

I (low 30's) own a STI 5 Type R (correct amount of doors for a fast car)
My boss (over 40) owns an 2002 M3 convertible
My boss's dad (retired) has an X-type
My dad drives a rover

I wasn't Joking !!

I think we need to have our first X-Type meet? what do you think and all those doubting scoobies can come along and see for themselves. ....

....agreed the previous average age of Jag drivers was 60+ but that is now changing try the 3litre x-type 240bhp 4wdr I think you would be in for a big shock.

Erm, 231bhp, actually. But that's close enough.

And of course each and every one of those horses is lag-free.

Wink

Actually, I think it's the extra half-ton of leather/maple/pipe-holders/etc that slows the 0-60.

Jason, yes name on the plate is PEN plate used to be on my WRX

Tim, will look out for you - is the grille the only Arden upgrade or have you had anything else done?

Also have you had any problems with the car cutting out for no reason? it happened to us on M25 doing 70 lost power completely.
