Steep to A32 Sunday AM DBM WRX

Sunday morning, you DBM WRX driving from Steep towards the A32. Hello. I didnt know that the WRX came in deep blue mica.
Us 3 cyclists who you over took. Would it do any harm to give more than 1.5 feet (it could easily been a lot less) space when overtaking on a straight road with nothing coming the other way?
