no worries mate. not so unlucky me thinks! the warden let me off - i saw him at my car and went to see how far he had got. he said if i was going within a couple of minutes, he wouldn't proceed as he hadn't gone beyond the point of no return on his little machine. so naturally i moved the car to Trinity Square car park for a couple of minutes. well £1.10 is better than £50!
contrary to popular opinion they aren't all b'stards, i have been let off or allowed to park illegally (so to speak) for brief periods by wardens (& police) on numerous occasions - i find if you are civil with them, they are generally very reasonable.
