Oh FFS, lighten up you PC *****. I'll call 'em what the **** I like.
It's people like you lot that promote the very liberal ideas that are ruining this country.
Freedom of speech, freedom of thought. Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
Offensive words are only offensive because of your own prejudices. e.g. if I call you gay and you're offended it's beause you're homophobic.
And not one of you was the P1 driver I was looking for, so p1ss off out me thread

I feel a political debate coming on hear! But i think we can all agree that they are the filth when pulling us but very useful when recovering our cars and god forbid our children!

Seriously though, don't slag of the police. They're only doing their job.
If they were walking around a town of village, it might just prevent another case of missing/murdered children, or is that not their job? Might prevent a whole lot of other anti-social crimes as well....

"And that job includes sitting on a fooking motorway roundbout on a Sunday with a Laser gun does it?"
I don't beleive they do that on their days off do they? Don't be so daft.

What planet do you live on? You think they all sit in one big police station arguing about who gets the keyes to the police car and who gets to walk around your villiage? It's just silly how people will post such offensive messeges with regards to police officers, because they're such easy targets. When was the last time you wrote to your MP complaining about the number of beat officers in your area? Never? Well don't post such ignorant and arrogant comments. What good does that do?
Just before I get accused of being a PC ****, (by another extrememist, incidentally, why are you so aggressive to people that have politely suggested that police officers not be refferred to as filth/pigs/***** etc.??) no I'm not a police officer, yes my Dad was a few years ago, and yes I have the same hatred for crooked cops as anyone should, and yes I'm amazed at all these off-hand comments from people who appear not to know what an earth they're talking about.
As for Notorious proclaiming
"If I call you gay and you're offended it's beause you're homophobic"
...how on earth is that similar in any way to calling police 'filth', which is specifically spoken as an insult (not even as an offensive word!). If you only meant it as a chummy type joke to begin with, then I'm sure it was very funny to all police officers out there, and I stand corrected... but I think not.
Let me also appologise in advance for continuing the hijacked nature of this thread, but I wanted to say it, and I did. What can I say, freedom of speech.

I don't work for the police, I would not say that I'm PC ( No pun intended ) to a large degree. I just did not happen to like the generalism you made. Certain officers I have met I would describe as filth, some come across as arrogant sarse oles on a power trip.
However after having a Cav GSI ( Yes... I was a member of the Vauxhall Krew ! ) stolen and recovered by the police, And the Barsteward did time for it as well which was a bit decent.
I tend to take the sweet with the bitter taste and do see some good in the police.
When you need some "Legal" backup or your chariot has been stolen I know who you will be calling.
If it makes you feel better it was me driving the P1 ok !

OK, let's get a few things straight:
A) I do actually have utmost respect for the filth, never met a pig I didn't like yet. I don't subscribe to this "haven't you got something better to do" b0ll0cks as we all know that the answer is "yes, but the Government won't let us do it".
B) You guys really, really need to lighten up.
C) I never even mentioned the Police in this thread, you all assumed I meant the Police in my reference. What does that tell you?

Notorious,
Ok, understood... except the bit about you not mentioning the police as such. That was pants :P
My objection still stands to those that jumped on the police hate band-wagon.

Kissy lips? Surely you can't be reffering to :P... I'm not sure what kinda people you been kissing, but it's cause for a little concern I think. Unless your sub-conscious lead you naturally to the conclusion that was the only thing it could be, and that has all sorts of connotations... your business, not mine.
Granted, my knowledge of smilies on this board extends to and only , but a :P has allways equated to a sticking out of the tongue type gesture. Still, you can allways go back and read the original post as suggested, bit more manly for ya right there. Again, my humble appologies.

While I'm hijacking threads, is there anywhere that displays the codes for the various smilies allowed... I've tried clicking the 'Smilies Enabled' link to the right of this Reply box but it's a dead end. As is the 'BBS Code Syntax' one.
