Due to impulse selling my beloved RB5 WR is going to a good home next week. I would like an Evo 6 anyone know of one for sale.
Cash waiting. UK car only though. ( see below)
Thanks
Edited to say don't mind if its an import now as insurance the same.

I may know of an evo 6 gsr.
Its a uk car only serviced at main dealers. it is a gsr in silver.
1 year warranty left.
w reg with 20,000 miles I think.
2 owners, current owner thinks it is unsuitable for his work showing people round houses
how lame is that?
standard apart from ralliart mods - back box and air filter at factory. has factory strut braces and gauges.
offers i think.

Sounds interesting Adam.
Seems to be quite a variation in pricing.
Think some people are asking 19k ish then don't seem to have sold them. They are then readvertised at about the 17.5k mark ( been doing a bit of research in my old top marques)
How much is he looking for ???
Mail me as profile if you like
Cheers Jay

Warning if you buy an import get a Mitsubishi dealer to run a check on its history they will do this for a small fee ,even this is not a full gaurantee. Why am I telling you this ,because I know of a police compound with 70 stolen imports in it ,and at least 19 of these are evos!

Try Roger Clark Motorsport in Desford.
Address:
Roger Clark Motorsport
Alder Hall, Peckleton Lane Desford
Leicester Leicestershire LE9 9JU
Tel: 01455 828610
(Taken from www.yell.co.uk)
I went there today and they have a Evo 6 (Silver) for £19k. Give them a ring if u want more info, they are very helpful.
I have no connection with them.

Thanks Vinesh I will give them a call. Possibly thinking of going down the P1 road now, with all the if's but's and maybe's associated with EVO VI's.

Hi Sideways,
I was interested in getting a uk spec evo 6 too until I read up on them. There are a number of points to look out for!!!
Some of which are:
1)It must be serviced every 4000 miles. If it has not been done at an official Ralliart dealer, then forget it.
2) They need to go to a ralliart dealer to get the Active Yaw Control checked. This is done using special equipment and needs done regularly.
3) They are damned thirsty, and only drink super. Normal petrol will damage the guts!!! Even one tank!!
4) They go through clutches and brakes at an alarming rate! think twice as often as a P1.
5) Finding the right one is tricky.
Cheers Bob.

I too have been put off by the 4500 mile interval services (minor) & the every 9000 mile (major) services.
EVO's eat tyres - many owners see 6 months wear from a new set (!!) & while I dont think the fuel consumption is that much worse to - say - an STi, the EVO has a much smaller tank so more trips to the garage & shorter range (180miles !!!!)
I have been speaking to several owners recently & many budget an extra £200-300 per month into ownership to cover clutches/tyres/servicing & general running costs.
The lowest insurance quote I got was £3500 !!!!
Considering I am 31 with 7 years NCB & the car is garaged etc etc I feel that this is rather silly (considering I pay £800 per year for my STi)
Until recently I also thought an EVO6 was on a different level in terms of performance.
I took one out yesterday & was actually underwhelmed by the straight line speed....certainly no faster on day to day roads than my STI (v4)
The EVO might feel a little quicker but thats due to the shorter gearing
Round the bends is a different story - loads more grip & more sure-fotted....but nothing that a Leda suspension couldn't go a long way to address fitted to a Scooby.
All in all my conclusion is that the Scooby is 90% the car the EVo is with a fraction of the running costs.
Another reason for maybe selling was falling residuals - but these seemed to have leveled out on the grey imports - I was offered the same px value yesterday that I was offered this time last year when I thought about changing !
I am gonna stick with mine then probably buy a UK STi when the facelift comes out towards the end of the year.
